According to Conde Nast Bridal Media, 10% of
U.S. brides now register for honeymoons. In addition, consumers are
spending more money than ever "doing things"
rather than owning things. This has created a perfect market for
experiential wedding gifts and the gift of travel. "It
only made sense to offer a honeymoon registry to provide both travel
agents and their clients with a unique option,"
says Nancy Williams, Director of Happy Honeymoon Registry. "Many
couples don't need or want the traditional wedding gifts of china or
toasters. We help make their wedding memorable with a very special gift --
their honeymoon. And travel agents reap the benefit, because couples
using our honeymoon registry spend more on their honeymoon
packages resulting in larger commissions for the travel agent."
